Stratford Upon Avon

We spent the day caching in Stratford yesterday, there are certainly plenty of them to be had there.

It was another scorcher and we found 7 caches in and around the town, all easy and straightforward. Most of the caches are micros, which is what you would expect in a town of course, but although the place is teeming with muggles, it was surprisingly easy to avoid detection as we logged our visits. This is mainly due to the fact that the hints for the caches we did were spot on and meant we found each one virtually straight away.

I must say though that after a few hours I got quite bored with the whole thing. I would much rather be walking through the countryside rather than a town any day, nice though Stratford upon Avon is!

A tip for anyone wanting to visit Stratford is to park in the Warwick Road car park which is located on the A439 at 52.199199,-1.69445.

This is a free car park right next to the river and is a pleasant walk of just over half a mile along the river bank into the town centre.
